Four and twenty years ago,
I come into this life,
the son of a woman
and a man who lived in strife.
He was tired of being poor
and he wasn't into selling door to door
and he worked like the devil to be more.

A different kind of poverty
now upsets my soul,
night after sleepless night,

Have I driven her away?

Morning comes to sunrise
and I'm driven to my bed,

Stephen Stills (Dallas, 1945) es un guitarrista, cantante y compositor estadounidense famoso por ser el lider y creador de bandas tan míticas como "Buffalo Springfield", "Manassas" y "Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young", que firmaban sus discos como C,S,N&Y.

Stephen Stills desde pequeño se interesó por el blues y el folk. También se vio influenciado por la música latina después de pasar su juventud en Costa Rica y Panamá, en donde se graduó.

En 1997, Stills se convirtió en la primera persona en ser incluida en el "Rock and Roll Hall of Fame" dos veces en la misma noche por su trabajo con "Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young" y con "Buffalo Springfield".

En 2003, la revista "Rolling Stone" lo ubicó en el puesto 28 en su lista de los 100 mejores guitarristas de todos los tiempos".
